Simon Cowell & Lauren Silverman’s Family — Photos Of The Couple & Their Son Eric — Wedding bells! Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are officially an engaged couple! Simon proposed to Lauren during a family vacation to Barbados where he has a home. The ‘America’s Got Talent’ popped the question to Lauren after 13 years of courtship.

The two initially met in 2004 while she was still married to Simon’s friend Andrew Silverman. Simon and Lauren began having an affair behind Andrew’s back. Simon and Lauren eventually came clean in 2013. Not too long after, Lauren gave birth to their son Eric on February 14, 2014.

Known for his brutal honest and low-cut V-necks, Simon Cowell has been a fixture on the reality TV scene for decades. He started off as a judge on ‘American Idol’ and went on to launch ‘X Factor,’ ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘America’s Got Talent.’ His now-fiancee Lauren is a New York City socialite and mom to Eric and her older son Adam Silverman.
