‘Shake It Up’: Where Are They Now? — Shake It Up is really a Disney Channel classic. The show premiered in 2010 and it introduced us to two of entertainment’s most up-and-coming talents. Starring Bella Thorne and Zendaya, Shake It Up followed the adventures of CeCe Jones (Bella) and Rocky Blue (Zendaya) after they landed gigs as background dancers on a local show Shake It Up Chicago. It ran for three seasons, and there was even a feature-length special in Made In Japan in 2012.

Bella Thorne

Bella Thorne — Bella Thorne got her start on TV long before Shake It Up. She was a regular on the shows Dirty Sexy Money (2007-2008) and My Own Worst Enemy (2009) before her Disney Channel debut. After that, Bella had a number of films, including Blended (2014), The DUFF (2015,) The Babysitter film series (2017–2020), and Infamous (2020). She returned to TV again for the show Famous In Love (2017-2018) and in 2021’s Paradise City. Bella has also dabbled in music.

Zendaya

Zendaya — Zendaya has truly risen to superstar status since the show. After Shake It Up, she starred on Disney’s K.C. Undercover (2015 – 2018.) Zendaya’s global break would come with her debut in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017.) She reprised her character M.J. in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021.) In 2019, she began her run on HBO’s Euphoria, a role which has won her two Emmys.

Adam Irigoyen

Adam Irigoyen — Adam Irigoyen played Deuce Martinez on Shake It Up. One of his first major TV appearances was a guest bit on Wizards Of Waverly Place. After Shake It Up, he appeared on TV series The Last Ship (2015 – 2018) and The show Away (2018.)

Roshon Fegan

Roshon Fegan — Roshon Fegan played Rocky’s brother Ty. He’s also beloved as Sander Loyer in the Disney Channel Camp Rock movies. He appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2012 and produces his own music.

Davis Cleveland

Davis Cleveland — Davis Cleveland played CeCe’s little brother Flynn. He also starred as Manny in Nickelodeon’s Rufus (2016) and its 2017 sequel Rufus 2. Additional work includes appearances in episode of How I Met Your Mother, Desperate Housewives, Good Luck Charlie, Ghost Whisperer, and Hannah Montana.

Caroline Sunshine

Caroline Sunshine — Caroline Sunshine was one-half of rivals Gunther and Tinka. She also appeared in the film Marmaduke (2010), the documentary Behind The Scenes (2012), and the direct-to-video film The Outfield (2015).

Kenton Duty

Kenton Duty — Kenton Duty played flamboyant European exchange student, Gunther on Shake It Up. Before the Disney show, he was known for his recurring role as “Young Jacob” on the final season of the ABC primetime drama Lost. More recent projects include the films Contest, Silver Bells, and the short, Murphy.
