K-Pop Sensation ‘SEVENTEEN’ — PICS By: Medina Lynn 1 of 5 K-Pop Sensation ‘SEVENTEEN’ Lee Young Ho/Sipa USA SEVENTEEN is a k-pop group, which was formed in 2015 by Pledis Entertainment. There are 13 members in the group, but they are each divided into sub-units, which are based on their specialities (hip-hop, vocals and performance). The group began making appearances in 2013, but did not make their official debut until 2015 when they were part of a live showcase. They released their first EP that May, followed by another in September. They saw success while performing live shows that year, and booked their first tour in 2016. Their first album came out that year, too. The group had their big breakthrough and started seeing commercial success at the end of 2017 and into 2018. In 2019, they booked a world tour, and have been traveling all over the world. It will continue into 2020. As of Dec. 2019, they’ve released three albums.
