The 47th season of ‘Saturday Night Live’ kicked off on the night of Oct. 2, 2021. The first episode was hosted by actor Owen Wilson and included musical guest Kacey Musgraves. The new season also included three brand new cast members, including James Austin Johnson, who helped open the premiere as President Joe Biden, Aristotle Athari, and Sarah Sherman.

Owen’s brothers, Luke and Andrew also appeared during his monologue in the premiere episode of the season and other cast members paid tribute to former cast member Norm Macdonald, who died shortly before the season kicked off.

In addition to Owen, other notable celebrities hosting episodes of season 47 include Kim Kardashian, Rami Malek, and Jason Sudeikis. Click through the photos to see some of the best moments from the season!
