Ryan McCartan — Pics — boy from the Midwest has done good. Minnesota’s own Ryan McCartan has been charming audiences since his minor role in the first High School Musical. After landing the role of Diggie on Liv and Maddie, his career took off. From there, he appeared in R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls, Last Man Standing, Austin & Ally and Royal Pains. As he continued his acting career, Ryan continued his love of musical theatre. He originated the role of Jason Dean in the original off-broadway cast of the musical Heathers. He originated the role of Eddie Corbin in Mutt House. In 2016, he was cast as Brad Majors in the Fox musical television film The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do The Time Warp Again. He also landed the role of Fiyero in the Broadway production of Wicked in 2018. In 2019, as part of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization’s R&H Go Pop! video series, he covered ‘This Nearly Was Mine’ from South Pacific.

Speaking of, Ryan began dating Dove Cameron in Aug. 2013. They became engaged in April 2016, but the relationship ended in October of that year. As of 2017, Ryan was dating actress Samantha Fekete.
