‘Riverdale’ returns for season 5 on Jan. 20, 2021. The fifth season comes after season 4 was cut short in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because season 4 was a shortened season, the fifth season will wrap things up from season 4. One of those things is the prom episode. The ‘Riverdale’ teens will be going to prom as senior year comes to a close. The fan-favorite ladies of ‘Riverdale’ dazzle in gorgeous looks. The guys look dapper in their suits. In the season 5 premiere, Betty and Jughead’s investigation into the auteur leads them to the discovery of a secret underground for red-band screenings. Meanwhile, Archie agrees to participate in a boxing exhibition against another candidate — KO Kelly (guest star Zane Holtz) — in order to impress the visiting Naval Academy Commandant.
