Reba McEntire flashed a big smile in the press room at the 53rd annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 15, 2018. The country music singer has hosted the annual awards show for 15 years running now, with 2019 marking the 16th time she’s done the honors. While she always kicks off the show with a monologue that gets the crowd laughing, there’s one thing she won’t address: politics. “When they asked me to do the ACMs again they said, ‘Is there anything you don’t want to talk about?’ … and I said ‘Nothing political.’ This is country music we’re not gonna give that air time. I wanna talk about and honor and lift up country music,” she explained in an interview. The 2019 ACM Awards broadcast live from Las Vegas on April 7, and will also feature appearances from Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and more!
