‘Parks and Recreation’ Cast Then & Now — In April 2009, audiences were introduced to Leslie Knope and the cast of characters on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Over the series Emmy-nominated run, fans followed Leslie as she maneuvered small town politics in the hopes of making her town, Pawnee, IN., a better place. By February 2015, the series came to an emotional end, but the cast has remained incredibly close and on April 30, 2020 reunited for a special TV event.

But what else has happened to the cast since their time in the parks department? We’re taking a look back to see how Chris Pratt went from playing Andy Dwyer to Marvel’s Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, where actress Aubrey Plaza has taken her unique comedy, and if Nick Offerman is still into woodworking (hint: he definitely is)! Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler — Amy Poehler played Leslie Knope on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Since the show, she’s starred in series like ‘Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp’ and ‘Ten Years Later,’ as well as ‘Welcome to Sweden.’ She also appeared in the movie ‘Sisters’ (2015) with Tina Fey and ‘The House’ (2017) with Will Ferrell. She and Nick Offerman also hosted the series ‘Making It.’

Adam Scott

Adam Scott — Adam Scott played Ben Wyatt on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Since the series ended, he starred on the Emmy-winning HBO series ‘Big Little Lies’ and appeared in a number of episodes of NBC’s ‘The Good Place,’ which was also created by ‘Parks & Recreation’ creating Mike Schur.

Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones — Rashida Jones played Ann Perkins on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Although she left the series in 2014, she and Rob Lowe returned for the series’ finale in 2015. The actress and writer has since starred in the series ‘Angie Tribeca’ and currently stars on Netflix’s ‘#BlackAF.’ She also wrote the original story for ‘Toy Story 4.’

Nick Offerman

Nick Offerman — Nick Offerman played Ron Swanson on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ After the series wrapped, he appeared on TV shows like ‘Fargo,’ ‘Will & Grace,’ where his wife, Megan Mullally, stars. The actor also hosted the series ‘Making It’ with Amy Poehler. He currently stars on the FX on hulu show ‘Devs.’

Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza — Aubrey Plaza played April Ludgate on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ The actress has since starred in films ‘Ingrid Goes West’ (2017), ‘The Little Hours’ (2017), and appeared in the FX series ‘Legion.’ She has also hosted the Indepedent Spirit Awards two years in a row!

Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari — Aziz Ansari played Tom Haverford on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ After his time on the show, he went to Netflix with his project ‘Master of None,’ for which he’s won two Emmy awards for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe — Rob Lowe joined ‘Parks & Recreation’ at the end of season two as Chris Traeger. Although he and Rashida Jones left the series in 2014, they returned for the show’s finale. Since ‘Parks,’ Lowe starred on ‘The Grinder’ from 2015-2016. He also appeared in the 2016 film ‘Monster Trucks.’ Currently, he stars on the series ‘9-1-1: Lone Star.’

Jim O’Heir

Jim O’Heir — Jim O’Heir played Larry/Jerry/Garry Gergich on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Since his time on the show, he’s appeared in a number of TV series including ‘The Bold & the Beautiful,’ ‘Pearson,’ and ‘Bless This Mess.’

Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt — Chris Pratt played Andy Dwyer on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Cast originally for a guest role, the cast and crew enjoyed the actor so much that they kept him on as a seires regular. He has since starred in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ the film’s sequel, ‘Jurassic World,’ as well as its sequel, and he appeared in ‘Averngers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ He and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, are reportedly expecting their first child together.

Retta

Retta — Retta played Donna Meagle on ‘Parks & Recreation.’ Since her time on the show, she has gone on to star on the NBC drama ‘Good Girls,’ where she plays Ruby opposite Christina Hendricks and Mae Whitman. She also starred in the series ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’ and the films ‘To The Bone’ (2017) and ‘Good Boys’ (2019).
