Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is an internationally beloved actor! The Danish-born star rose to fame in his home country of Denmark with theater roles and a few movie parts. After working in his home country through the 90s, Nikolaj began pursuing opportunities in the United States in the early aughts, with his first American movie role being in Ridley Scott’s 2001 war film ‘Black Hawk Down.’ He continued appearing in other major movies like ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ and ‘Enigma.’

His biggest role to date came in 2011, when he played Jaime Lannister in the hit HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones.’ The role earned him two Primetime Emmy nominations in 2018 and 2019.

Nikolaj has also been married to his wife Nukâka since 1998, and the couple have two daughters.
