Neymar is best known as a professional Brazilian soccer player. In 2021, he played forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. His name often comes up when the best soccer players in the world are talked about and he’s been playing the sport since he was young.

He made his professional debut at 17-years-old and played for the Santos club. He helped the club win two Campeonato Paulista championships, a Copa do Brasil, and the 2011 Copa Libertadores. The latter was Santos’ first since 1963.

He was named South American Footballer of the Year in 2011 and again in 2012 and eventually joined Barcelona. He went on to win the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League, and finished third for the FIFA Ballon d’Or in 2015. He transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, a move worth €222 million. It ended up making him the most expensive player ever at the time.

With France, he won three league titles, three Coupe de France, and two Coupe de la Ligue and led the club to its first ever Champions League Final.One of his other big achievements included captaining Brazil to win its first Olympic gold medal in men’s football at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
