Michelle Williams is one of the most celebrated actresses of the 2000s. She first got her big break in 1998, when she was cast in the massively popular TV series ‘Dawson’s Creek,’ which she was in until 2003. After her time on the show, she transitioned to a movie career, and she was an instant success in the 2005 film ‘Brokeback Mountain,’ where she met her boyfriend Heath Ledger. She had one daughter with the late actor during their relationship, before Heath’s sudden death in 2008.

‘Brokeback Mountain’ earned Michelle her first Oscar nomination. While she hasn’t taken home an Academy Award, she has been nominated four times with her most recent coming in 2017 for her performance in ‘Manchester by the Sea.’ She’s also won two Golden Globes.
