María de Lourdes Villiers “Mia” Farrow was born on Feb. 9, 1945, and is an actress, activist, former fashion model, and Hollywood icon. Best known for her work in Rosemary’s Baby, John and Mary, and more than a dozen of Woody Allen films – Broadway Danny Rose, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Alice, Zelig, and Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Mia became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2000 and is a high-profile advocate for human rights in Africa. She has worked hard to bring attention to the plight of people in Rwanda, Sudan, and more.

Her personal life is noted for her relationships with Frank Sinatra, conducter/composer Andrew Previn, and Woody Allen. She and Andrew had three biological songs – twins Matthew and Sascha, and Fletcher. In the mid-1970s, the two adopted Soon-Yi from Korea, and Lark Song and Summer “Daisy” Song from Vietnam. Following her divorce from Andre, she adopted Moses Farrow. She also adopted Dylan Farrow in 1985. She gave birth to her fourth and final biological child son Satchel Ronan O’Sullivan Farrow – simply known as Ronan Farrow – in 1987. She adopted four more children – Thaddeus Farrow, Frankie-Mihn Farrow, Isaiah Farrow, and Kaeli-Shea “Quincy” Farrow” – in the following two decades.

In 1992, Mia’s relationship with Woody ended after Dylan accused him of abuse and after he began an intimate relationship with Soon-Yi.
