Her father and mother both encouraged her to pursue progressive politics, and in turn, Wiley went on to finish her education at Dartmouth College and Columbia University, where she earned her law degree. Wiley served for the U.S Attorney Office for the Southern District of New York, and later was appointed counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2014.
