Cheryl Burke and Matthew Lawrence At The Ride Foundation’s Second Annual Gala — Cheryl Burke and Matthew Lawrence have come a long way since first meeting in 2006. Their meet-cute happened through Matthew’s brother, Joey Lawrence, who competed on Season 3 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ — the very same show that Cheryl has competed for 21 seasons on as of 2019! She and Matthew entered a year-long relationship between Feb. 2007 and Feb. 2008, and they resumed the romance nearly a decade later in Feb. 2017. Over a year passed before Matthew popped the question to Cheryl on her 34th birthday (May 3, 2018), and they finally tied the knot in a San Diego wedding on May 24, 2019.

While Cheryl is a household name to ABC viewers (she was the first female pro to win a ‘DWTS’ season, and the first pro to win twice and in a row), her husband is a familiar face as well. He played Jack Hunter on ‘Boy Meets World,’ starred on ‘Brotherly Love’ with his real life brothers Joey and Andrew Lawrence, and starred in ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ and ‘The Hot Chick.’
