Does Daddario sound familiar at all? Well, it should! Matthew is the younger brother of actress Alexandra Daddario, whose face you’ve totally seen in shows and films like Percy Jackson, Baywatch, White Collar, and American Horror Story: Hotel.
Well, Matthew is an American actor as well and has quite the resume. You may know the 32 year old from his latest work on the Freeform television series Shadowhunters. He joined the cast in 2016 playing the role of Alec Lightwood up until 2019.
Alec Lightwood was one of the few openly gay Shadowhunters who was reluctant to come out at first since gay hunters are shunned by the Clave (a political body). Though, soon enough he was out and proud and showing off his relationship with warlock Magnus Bane, which inspired other hunters to show their truth.
Before he landed this big role, he has had roles in Breathe In, 36 Saints, Delivery Man, and much more.
