Marlo Thomas is a famed actress & advocate for women & children. Marlo was born on November 21, 1937, & started her career on TV in the late 1950s on shows including, “Dobie Gillis,” “77 Sunset Strip,” “Thriller” and “Zane Grey Theatre,” to name a few. However, Marlo became a household name when she starred as a single independent woman on the ABC show, “That Girl,” in 1966. The show ran for five years and she won a Golden Globe for Best TV Star, as well as four Emmy nominations throughout the show’s run. Aside from being a legendary actress, Marlo has raised millions for children’s cancer treatment at St Jude’s hospital & is hailed as the Founding Mother of the Ms. Foundation for Women.
