Maren Morris is an American country singer and songwriter from Arlington, Texas. Early on in her career, Maren released three albums, then moved to Nashville and began writing songs for some of the biggest stars in country music, including Tim McGraw. She released her first EP in 2015, and after getting attention from record labels, she was signed to Columbia Nashville, who re-released the EP and promoted Maren’s first single, ‘My Church.’ In 2016, she released her debut album, ‘Hero.’ Keith Urban recognized her talent and invited her on tour with him that summer, too.

Maren has gone to to release more music and has been recognized for her talents at awards shows like the Grammys, the AMAs, and the ACMAs. In September 2023, Maren shocked fans by announcing she’s leaving country music. She explained that she doesn’t feel welcome in the industry anymore, but she’s still planning to release more music.
