Luciano Pavarotti is one of the most iconic opera singers of all-time. Pavarotti was an Italian operatic tenor who was crowned the ‘king of the high C’s.’ He became a pop culture icon over the course of his long career. He sold over 100 million records. He died in 2007 from pancreatic cancer. His voice was truly one of a kind. The singer is the subject of the Ron Howard-directed documentary, which will be released in limited theaters on June 7. The documentary features rare interviews with his family and colleagues, never-before-seen footage, and state of the art Dolby Atmos sound. It’s an in-depth look at the singer’s life. ‘Pavarotti’ is the third in a series of documentaries Ron has directed exploring musical superstars—following on the heels of the award-winning ‘The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years,’ and ‘Made In America.’ See more photos of Pavarotti in our gallery now.
