Louie Anderson

Louie Anderson — Louie Anderson was a consistent member of the entertainment industry for decades. After being brought up as the second youngest of 11 children in St. Paul, Minnesota, Louis was a stand-up comedian who made his debut on ‘The Tonight Show’ in 1984. After wow-ing the country and Johnny Carson on the late night staple, Louie went on to a number of TV roles, including the animated comedy ‘Life With Louie.’ In 2016, he won an Emmy Award for his performance in the FX comedy ‘Brackets.’ He also had a handful of movie roles, some in classic comedies, like the Eddie Murphy-starring ‘Coming To America’ in 1988.

Other than his on-screen roles, Louie was also a popular standup comedian, and he had a long-running show in Las Vegas called ‘Louie Anderson: Larger Than Life,’ which he performed from 2003 until 2012. He sadly died from a battle with blood cancer in January 2022.
