King Charles’ Scotland Coronation: Photos Of His Second Royal Crowning

The National Service of Thanksgiving and dedication at St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh held in honor of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s crowning served as their second coronation. See photos of William, Kate, and all the royals paying tribute.

Weeks after his grand coronation, King Charles III was on hand at the  National Service of Thanksgiving in Edinburgh, Scotland, on July 5, 2023. Though a much smaller affair, inside St. Giles’ Cathedral, King Charles was presented with the Honours of Scotland, the country’s crown jewels, and presentation acted as a second coronation for the royal. 

King Charles was joined by Queen Camila, as well as his heir, Prince William and wife Princess Kate. Sadly, his grandchildren were not in attendance, nor was his youngest son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle. Harry did attend the grand coronation held in London, however, though his wife stayed home in America with their two young children.
