Kellie Pickler and the late Kyle Jacobs wed in 2011, and later appeared in a CMT reality series documenting their romance.

The couple wed back in 2011 after meeting through mutual friends in Nashville four years prior. “So we ended up sitting with him and his buddies, and we got lost in conversation and everybody else disappeared,” she said in a past interview. “We started writing songs the next day, and then we got hitched, well, that happened a few years later,” she added. By 2010 they were engaged, eloping to Antigua on Jan. 1, 2011.

Their romance was front and center in CMT reality series ‘I Love Kellie Pickler!’ from 2015 to 2017. “We want to keep it light and positive,” she told The Associated Press while shooting the series in 2015. “There’s enough darkness out in the world. And there’s enough negativity on television.”

Kyle sadly passed away after an apparant death by suicide on Friday, Feb. 17. Click through the gallery to see photos of Kellie and her late husband.
