Katie Couric: Photos — Katie Couric is one of the most famous broadcast journalists in history. The 64-year-old broadcaster started her career in 1979, working for the Washington D.C. bureau of ABC News and was later hired as an assignment reporter for CNN. In 1989, Katie became a correspondent for ‘Today’ on NBC, and she later was selected to be a permanent co-host in 1991. In 2006, she moved to CBS, where she was an evening news anchor and also a correspondent for ’60 Minutes,’ before returning to ABC News in 2011.

While she’s most well-known as a TV broadcaster, Katie has worked on a number of other projects, including being an executive producer for a number of films. She was also a substitute co-host for ‘Jeopardy’ after Alex Trebek died in 2020. She also penned the memoir ‘Going There,’ which reflects on her younger years and life as a journalist.

In Sep. 2022, the newscaster revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The news came on June 21, 2022, the day of her 8th wedding anniversary with John Molner. As of fall 2022, she is in treatment.
