Kate Middleton: Photos — Great Kate! Before becoming the Duchess of Cambridge/Princess of the United Kingdom thanks to her marriage to Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton was college mates with her future husband! Kate and William both lived at St. Salvator’s Hall in the University of St. Andrews, located in a picturesque town in Scotland. They met in 2001, and both were majoring in art history.

Their friendship soon turned into something more, although they temporarily broke up in 2007; however, they were engaged by 2010. The rest is history — after the wedding, Kate welcomed three children with her royal husband: Prince George (2013), Princess Charlotte (2015) and Prince Louis (2018).

As the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate is now focused on bettering children’s mental health in the United Kingdom. She has engaged in multiple initiatives for the cause, including the “Heads Together” campaign for mental health awareness that she launched with William in 2016. Most recently, in Jan. 2020, Kate launched a survey across the UK for early childhood development.
