Karen Gravano is the daughter of Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, who was the underboss of the Gambino crime family. Her connection to the mobster led to her being cast on ‘Mob Wives’, which premiered in 2011. The show followed women who lived on Staten Island and had family members who were imprisoned for their alleged connections to the American Mafia. Karen appeared as a main cast member on five of the six seasons, although she was not on season four. In 2020, Karen returned to reality television as part of a new MTV docu-series, ‘Families of the Mafia.’ The six-part series was filmed after Sammy The Bull’s release from prison, and followed Karen as she tried to push her 20-year-old daughter, Karina, into making a better life for herself and not “making the same mistakes” that she did.
