The sleeper hit show of the summer has everyone asking, “Where have I seen that person from ‘Jury Duty’ before?” Have to fear, because we have the answers here!

It’s become one of the smash hit shows of the summer, with millions tuning in to the FreeVee show Jury Duty on Amazon Prime since it’s premiere. The docu-style comedy follows the inner workings of a jury serving on a civil trial, with everyone involved a casted actor, save for San Diego solar contractor Ronald Gladden. In a Truman Show style twist, Ronald is unaware throughout the show that his fellow jurors are actors and that every thing that happened over the course of 3 weeks was entirely fake and meticulously planned.

After capturing the attention of viewers, the show managed to land 4 Emmy nominations and huge interest for the stars, a group of relatively unknown comedic actors. But there is no doubt you’ve seen these folks before – you just might not know it yet!

Like Kirk Fox (seated to the right of James Marsden), who played Pat McCurdy. You’ve likely seen him on tons of TV shows and didn’t realize it! Remember ‘Joe’ From Parks and Recreation? That’s him! Or what about Blair’s Dad in Black Monday? That’s him too! Plus, he’s been basically everything from Physical to Reservation Dogs to Curb Your Enthusiasm – and that’s just in TV! He’s also been in big movies, like The Patriot with Mel Gibson and Mumford.

San Diego solar contractor Ronald Gladden is not an actor. Quite the opposite, this unsuspecting sweetheart of man stumbled across a Craigslist ad offering folks pay to sit on a jury, so long as they had never served on a jury before. Ronald got much more than he bargain for, committing 3 weeks of his life to a scripted show going on around him that he had no idea about.

The same could not be said of  Rashida Olayiwola who perfectly portrayed Officer Nikki, the bailiff  tasked with keeping the jury in line throughout the trial. While she’s a few minor roles on A Black Lady Sktch Show and Insecure, she’s also a talent writer, lending her talents to productions like the BET Awards and the Soul Train Awards.

James Marsden

The Notebook. Enchanted. Sonic the Hedgehog. These are just some of the name drops James Marsden, who played an elevated version of himself in Jury Duty, throws at Ronald when trying to explain that he’s quite famous. His role in the show is so memorable and hilarious that the X-Men actor was actually nominated for a 2023 Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Comedy series.

Mekki Leeper

Playing Noah Price was a big break for newcomer star Mekki Leeper. While he made a big impression as Ronald’s inexperienced bestie, prior to Jury Duty, he only had a few, small roles on TV. He played a waiter on an episode of New Girl in 2018 and then played Eric in the first season of The Six Lives of College Girls.

Edy Modica

The raunchy, free-spirted Jeannie Abruzzo was played by Edy Modica, another breakout star for the Amazon/FreeVee show. While she’s starred in several short films, there isn’t much you would’ve seen her in. But after her turn in this show, we doubt this will be the last you see of her!

Susan Berger, who played the sleepy Barbara Goldstein, has had a long career over the last 20 years as a character actress on sitcoms. She’s had stints on everything from Bob Hearts Abishola to Mythic Quest, Mom to Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Meanwhile, Ross Kimball played Ross Kubiak (no big name stretch there!) has had stints on Chicago Med, Superstore, and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

As no-nonsense Lonnie Coleman , Ishmel Sahid managed to get along with everyone, including James Marsden and his insane antics, on Jury Duty. Now, you may not have seen him in much – just a few TV stints on shows like The Mindy Project and Kingdom – but you have heard him, as he is the voice of Jimmy Olsen in the animated series, My Adventure With Superman.

Filling out the cast is a group of relatively unknown actors, who have big things ahead of them!

Cassandra Blair, who played the level-headed Vanessa, is an up-and-coming actress with notable guest apperances on shows like Hacks, 9-1-1, and NCIS: Hawai’i. Next, she has a supporting role in the upcoming comedy, Reunion, starring Lil’ Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, and Billy Magnussen.

David Brown played the quirky but lovable Todd Gregory, Ronald’s next door neighbor and the inventor of the ‘Chair Pants’. His work prior to Jury Duty is limited, with roles in movies like The Year Between, I Used To Got Here and Itchy Fingers. But surely this will not be the last we see of this talented guy!
