Jonah Hill’s breakout moment came in the 2007 comedy Superbad, where he starred opposite Michael Cera and became an instant household name. At just 24, the actor’s sharp comedic timing and relatability launched him into Hollywood’s spotlight. But Jonah quickly proved he was more than a funnyman, earning critical acclaim—and two Oscar nominations—for his performances in Moneyball (2011) alongside Brad Pitt and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) with Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 2018, Jonah made his directorial debut with Mid90s, a coming-of-age film that showcased his creative range behind the camera. Since then, he’s continued to evolve as both an actor and filmmaker, focusing on meaningful projects that reflect his artistic vision, including Stutz (2022), his intimate Netflix documentary exploring mental health and therapy.
In 2025, Jonah is actively developing new work. He’s directing and starring in Cut Off, a comedy about wealthy siblings suddenly cut off from financial support, which he co-wrote and is producing. He’s also behind the upcoming dark comedy Outcome, set to premiere on Apple TV+, which he co-wrote and will star in.
Over the years, Hill’s physical appearance has evolved significantly. He’s gained and lost weight for roles, and in 2025, he’s once again appeared almost unrecognizable on set during Cut Off filming, sporting a slimmed-down appearance and dramatic styling.
