John David Washington — John David Washington, born July 28, 1984, is an American actor. John is the son of two-time Oscar-winner Denzel Washington and Pauletta Pearson Washington. John appeared in a number of small roles in his dad’s films growing up before striking out on his own.

John rose to fame as a member of the ensemble cast for the series ‘Ballers,’ which he joined in 2015 and was a party of for roughly four years, and over 40 episodes. 2018, however, was John’s breakout year, starring in films like ‘Monsters and Men,’ ‘All Rise,’ ‘The Old Man & the Gun,’ and ‘BlacKKKlansman.’ John went on to earn a number of awards nominations for his work in ‘BlacKKKlansman,’ including a Golden Globe Award nomination, a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and more. He will next appear in the Christopher Nolan film ‘Tenet.’
