Jill Scott, born April 4, 1972, is an american singer, actress, philanthropist, and model. Jill rose to fame in the late ‘90s with her soulful music and mix of genres, including R&B, hip-hop, and spoken word poetry. Jill has won three Grammy awards for her music, and received another 14 nominations from the Recording Academy. Along with her singing career, Jill has also appeared in films and TV shows. She appeared in Tyler Perry’s film ‘Why Did I Get Married?’ and ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’ She has also appeared on the show ‘Black-ish’ and partnered with Queen Latifah for the powerful Lifetime movie ‘Flint’ about Flint, MI ongoing clean water crisis.
