It all began with a napkin. Katie Peterson was tending bar in 2012 when Jesse McCartney came in to celebrate a friend’s birthday after-hours. Immediately smitten with Katie, Jesse took his shot. Despite her “not having” any of what he was serving, when it came time to leave, he wrote his number down on a napkin. Katie told him to include his name, signaling that she might have been playing hard to get. After that, the two had their first date. Seven years later, he would propose to her at the site of their first date and in 2021, the couple would tie the knot in a romantic ceremony.
