Jay Park — Jay Park is an American singer/rapper/producer who rose to fame as a member of the Korean boy band, 2PM, which formed in 2008. He was previously trained under JYP Entertainment for four years before officially joining the group. One year after the group formed, Jay decided to leave 2PM after receiving backlash for controversial comments that he made about Korea on MySpace. He returned home to Seattle, and created a YouTube channel, where he uploaded videos of himself singing cover songs. His first upload received 2 million views in just 24 hours. He returned to South Korea in 2010, and launched his solo career. In August 2017, he made his major crossover into the United States by signing to JAY-Z’s Roc Nation agency.
