Let’s hear it for our outstanding female vocalists! There’s nothing more wonderful to see a female musician take the spotlight and obtain the utmost recognition for talent in the music industry. Classical-crossover star, Jackie Evancho, is a prime example. Born in 2000, this Pittsburgh native gained attention at the young age of 9 for her singing voice. A couple of years later, Evancho made it all the way to the top in season 5 of America’s Got Talent in 2010 as a finalist. Her performances continued to stun not only the audience but also the panel of judges, and some even deemed her voice “too good to be true”.
An AGT tour and a couple of albums later, Jackie began her first U.S solo tour in July 2011, which included venues such as Lincoln Center in NYC.
