‘House of the Dragon’ is the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel everyone continues to obsess over. See photos of the epic spinoff series.

House of the Dragon has become HBO’s latest hit. The series revolves around House Targaryen and is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The first season premiered in 2022 and became a smash success. Season 2 has already been filmed and will premiere in 2024.

The series tells the story of the Dance of the Dragons, the civil war that took place during Targaryen rule. The cast includes Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corylys Velaryon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys, and Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen.

The pictures gave us a first glimpse at the new cast. Matt Smith will star as Prince Daemon Targaryen. His co-stars include Emma D’Archy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corylys Velaryon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, and Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen.
