The couple began dating in January of 2017 and became engaged on May 1, 2019. In between that time they welcomed a daughter Banks Bair, as Matthew’s real last name is Bair. Hilary got her start as a child star on such shows as Lizzie Maguire and followed it up with roles in teen films. Matthew is a popular songwriter and EDM artist who had a close working relationship with EDM sensation Zedd until the two had a falling out in June of 2019. Matthew called Zedd ‘toxic’ and accused him of taking credit for other people’s music, while Zedd countered that he had always given Matthew credit where credit was due, especially on their 2012 hits ‘Clarity’ and “Spectrum.’ Zedd even told Matt in his online message that “am incredibly proud of our work together and I continue to wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully one day we can sit down together again as friends.’
