The couple, who have been married for nearly a decade, bumped into each other at Pure Food and Wine in New York City in 2011, the legendary actor said in a post celebrating their 8th anniversary, in 2019. ‘8 years ago, I wandered into Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place, on an unseasonably warm February evening,’ he wrote. ‘My friend, @bocartist and I sat down (outside!) and as I turned to my left I saw a woman who would change my life. Entirely. 8 years today. Thanks for all you’ve given me. You are a gift.’ He handed Hilaria his card, and the rest was history.

The couple married in 2012, and have four kids together: Carmen, Rafael, Romeo, and Leonardo. Despite their 26-year age difference, Alec and Hilaria have made it work.
