Helen Hunt: Then & Now — Helen Hunt is an Oscar-winning actress, who’s conquered both film and TV. Born Helen Elizabeth Hunt in Culver City, California on June 15, 1963, the star got started acting when she was a child, working through the 70s and 80s. She made it big playing Jamie Buchman in the sitcom ‘Mad About You’ (1992-1999), which won her 2 Golden Globes and 4 Primetime Emmys.

During her run on ‘Mad About You’, she had an Oscar-winning role in the rom-com As Good As It Gets. Other prominent film roles include ‘Twister’ (1996), ‘Cast Away’ (2000), ‘What Women Want’ (2000), ‘Pay It Forward’ (2000), ‘Bobby’ (2006), ‘Soul Surfer’ (2011), and ‘The Miracle Season’ (2018). In 2007, she began directing with the film ‘Then She Found Me’ (2007). She also directed 2014’s ‘Ride’ and episodes of television series, including ‘House of Lies’, ‘This Is Us’, ‘Feud: Bette and Joan’, ‘American Housewife’, and the premiere episode of the ‘Mad About You’ revival.

Helen Hunt has had quite the career, from child actor to Oscar winner, and through it all she’s seen her fair share of red carpets.
