While many are looking out for Punxsutawney Phil’s shadow as their winter forecast, others will be celebrating with a screening of the 1993 comedy classic Groundhog Day, starring Bill Murray. In the movie, Bill plays a cynical TV weatherman who gets caught in a time-loop, forcing him to relive the day on repeat. He eventually falls for his producer Rita, played by Andie MacDowell, and tries to figure out if he can use the time-trap to seduce her. No spoilers… things don’t really go as planned. The movie was a box-office success, earning over $105 million to become one of 1993’s biggest blockbusters. Groundhog Day also earned a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Then, she became a key part of the 80s “Brat Pack,” appearing in St. Elmo’s Fire (1985). She earned critical acclaim for Sex, Lies, and Videotape in 1989. She is the mom of actress Margaret Qualley, who she starred with in the miniseries Maid (2021.) The funny guy is seen at 2018 Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 20, 2018 to the right. Chris started writing sketches on Late Night with David Letterman (1982–1988), which won him four Emmys. He had his own show Get a Life (1990–1992) before recurring roles on Everybody Loves Raymond (2003–2005), How I Met Your Mother (2009–2014), and Schitt’s Creek (2015–2020). His other big film credits include Cabin Boy (1994), which he wrote and directed, as well as There’s Something About Mary (1998), Snow Day (2000) and Scary Movie 2 (2001). His major TV roles include Deadwood (2005-2006), Heroes (2007-2008), Glee (2009-2011), Californication (2011-2014), Silicon Valley (2016-2017), and The Goldbergs (2014-2022.) Stephen is also the creator of the popular podcast The Tobolowsky Files.
