The talented couple has been making some pretty big moves in the acting industry. It was actually on the set of a popular TV series that Grace Gealey Byers and Trai Byers met.
While Trai is best known for playing Andre Lyon in the Fox television series ‘Empire,’ Grace is best known for playing Anika Calhoun in ‘Empire.’ Andre Lyon is the eldest son of Lucious and Cookie Lyon (the protagonists), and the most educated of Lucious’ three sons. The show follows his struggle with being bi polar and wanting to take over his father’s company. Anika Calhoun works at Lucious Lyon’s Empire Entertainment as the head of A&R. She has a degree in political science from Loyola University Chicago as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Prior to ‘Empire,’ Trai had a recurring role on ABC daytime soap opera, ‘All My Children’ and a role in The CW teen soap, ‘90210,’ while Grace had a role in the thriller film, ‘Bent.’
