Glenn Close, born March 19, 1947, is an iconic American actress, with a career spanning decades. She’s starred in countless films, including The Big Chill, Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmations and Hillbilly Elegy. And a career that long and varied, has come with its fair share of accolades.

While she’s earned Golden Globes, Emmys, and Tonys, the star has yet to snag the top acting honor: An Oscar. That doesn’t mean Glenn’s talents haven’t been recognized by the Academy. The star has been nominated eight times for an Academy Award, holding the record for the most nominations in an acting category without a win.
