Gillian Anderson: Then & Now — Spooky good. Gillian Anderson is an American-British actress, born in Chicago on August 9, 1968. She began her work on stage, before rocketing to fame as FBI Agent Dana Scully on ‘X-Files’. She played the skeptical Dr. Scully for 6 seasons, before going on to some major dramatic roles. (She’d later reprise the role when the show got a reboot in 2016.)

From there, dramatic roles followed with appearances in ‘The House of Mirth’ (2000), the BBC series ‘The Fall’, and Netflix’s ‘Sex Education’. Embodying a British icon, she took on the role of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the fourth season of the royal Netflix drama ‘The Crown.’ Through her career, she has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.
