Gayle King Strikes a Pose at ‘The Morning Show’ Premiere — Gayle King is a journalist and morning show host best known for her longtime work at CBS. Currently, Gayle serves as one of the top anchors at CBS News, as well as a co-host of CBS This Morning alongside Nora O’Donnell. She worked her way up to the top, starting in broadcast news as a production assistant at WJZ-TV in Baltimore in the 1970s — where she met her lifelong best friend, Oprah Winfrey. She went on to become an Emmy-winning anchor at WFSB in Connecticut, where she worked for 18 years, and was a special correspondent on The Oprah Winfrey Show. After a series of daytime talk shows and being a correspondent on Good Morning America, she landed her position at CBS in 2012. She also hosts The Gayle King Show on XM radio, and has served as an editor of Oprah Magazine since 1999.
