Gerald Earl Gillum, more popularly known as G-Eazy, is an American rapper.
He started out his career as a record producer and began making singles on the side while attending Loyola University at New Orleans as a full time student.
He started gaining fans in the East Bay Area hip hop scene and eventually opened up for artists like Lil Wayne.
He really rose to fame though when he dropped his second studio album, These Things Happen, which was released on June 23, 2014. The record was praised for its overall mood and lyricism. It was also inspired by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and Dom Kennedy. The 30 year old rapper finally proved to be just as big as his contemporaries with this particular album, as it peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 and gained him even more fans.
