‘Friday Night Lights’ centers on the rural town of Dillon, Texas, where winning the state football championship is prized above all else. Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) guides a high school football team through pressure-filled seasons while dealing with struggles relating to his own family. The interactions between the team members, current and former players, supporters, coaching staff and regular townsfolk address many of the issues facing small-town America. The series, which ran for six seasons between 2006 and 2011, was created by Peter Berg. It starred Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Zach Gilford, Aimee Teegarden, Taylor Kitsch, Minka Kelly, Michael B. Jordan, Jesse Plemmons and more.

Taylor Kitsch

After ‘Friday Night Lights’ ended, Taylor Kitsch, who played Tim Riggins in the series, starred in a few other dramas like ‘True Detective’ and the mini-series ‘Waco’. He also took on a pretty scary role in the crime-drama film ’21 Bridges’, and appeared in the 2014 television film ‘The Normal Heart.’ He’s also looking hotter than ever.

After ‘Friday Night Lights’ ended in 2011, Aimee Teegarden, who played Julie Taylor in the series, took on recurring roles in shows like ‘Notorious’, ‘The Ranch’ and ‘Star-Crossed’. She’s also very active in promoting ocean conservation.

Connie Britton still looks as gorgeous as ever. After ‘Friday Night Lights’ ended, the actress moved right onto a leading role in ABC’s ‘Nashville’. She later starred in the first seasons of ‘American Horror Story’, ‘9-1-1’ and ‘Dirty John’.

Kyle Chandler played Coach Taylor in ‘Friday Night Lights’, but after the show ended, he starred on ‘Bloodline’ and in the short-lived ‘Catch-22’. He’ll also reprise his character Dr. Mark Russell from ‘Godzilla: King of Monsters’ when the sequel premieres in 2020.

As for Minka Kelly, who seemingly hasn’t aged a day since the ‘Friday Night Lights’ went off the air, followed up her run on the show with a recurring role on ‘Parenthood’. She also starred in the thriller ‘The Roommate’, as well as 16 episodes of ‘Titans’.

Zach Gilford, who played Matt Saracen on ‘Friday Night Lights’ went on to star in NBC’s ‘Good Girls’, and ABC’s short-lived drama series, ‘The Family’.

After his breakthrough role on the football drama, Jesse Plemons went on to do a very ‘bad’ things. And by that we just mean that he took on a major role in ‘Breaking Bad’. He also starred in ‘Fargo’, and got engaged to Kirsten Dunst in 2017. They later welcome a child together.
