FKA twigs — born Tahliah Debrett Barnett — is a British singer, songwriter, producer, dancer, and visual artist known for her genre-defying sound and striking visual storytelling. Raised in Gloucestershire, England, she later moved to London, where she began releasing self-directed music and videos that quickly set her apart. Her early EPs, EP1 (2012) and EP2 (2013), earned critical acclaim and established her as one of the most exciting new voices in alternative R&B and experimental pop.

Her 2014 debut studio album, LP1, marked a major breakthrough and solidified her status as an avant-garde force in contemporary music. Around that time, her relationship with actor Robert Pattinson attracted widespread media attention. The pair dated for several years before ultimately splitting in 2017. Twigs later dated Shia LaBeouf, whom she met while working on Honey Boy.

Twigs reached new artistic heights with her 2019 album Magdalene, which featured the emotionally raw single “Cellophane” and a striking video directed by Andrew Thomas Huang. In 2022, she released Caprisongs, a mixtape-style project that showcased a freer, more playful side of her artistry while maintaining her experimental edge. In recent years, she has continued to expand her creative universe across fashion, film and performance art, teasing new music and immersive projects that highlight her constant reinvention.
