Emma was in a relationship with Evan Peters from 2012 until 2019, and after they broke up, she started seeing Garrett. The relationship started quietly, but fans were clued into the romance when photos of the pair surfaced that March. Emma and Garrett remained extremely low-key about their relationship after that, but could not avoid cameras that caught them together on outings. Before Emma, Garrett was also in a longterm relationship with another celebrity, Kirsten Dunst, who he dated from 2012 until 2016. In June 2020, news broke that Emma and Garrett were expecting their first child together. The couple was quarantined together amidst the coronavirus pandemic before the pregnancy news broke, and Emma gave birth at the end of 2020.
