There’s no better time than the holidays to bundle up with a Disney favorite. And with ‘Encanto’ now streaming on Disney+, it’s time to look at all the amazing animated Disney movies that have hit the big screens since 2010.

Disney features have followed favorite franchises like ‘Toy Story’ or brand new adventures, like ‘Frozen’ and ‘Moana’. They’ve explored imaginary kingdoms, inside the mind, and under the sea. And Disney movies are the perfect thing to watch with family, full of music, laughs, and happy endings.

Need help picking out what to watch? Take a look at the 20+ animated Disney movies that have come out since 2010. (Of course, this list doesn’t even include any of Disney’s amazing live-action remakes or their Marvel Cinematic Universe or Star Wars offerings!)

Toy Story 3 came out June 18, 2010, bringing back Cowboy Woody and Buzz Lightyear as their beloved Andy leaves for college. It featured the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, and more.

The spunky retelling of Rapunzel featured the voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, and Donna Murphy with music from Disney great Alan Menke.

‘Cars 2’ came out June 24, 2011. The sequel to 2006’s ‘Cars’ follows racecar Lightning McQueen as he and his sidekick Mater travel across the globe to compete in the World Grand Prix.

Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Tony Shalhoub, Guido Quaroni, Bonnie Hunt, John Ratzenberger, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, John Turturro, Eddie Izzard, and Thomas Kretschmann all provided voices.

‘Cars 3’ (not pictured in the gallery) came out June 16, 2017, picking up as Lightning McQueen tries to prove he’s still the best car in the business.

‘Winnie The Pooh’ was one of the last 2D animated films to come from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The charming tale of Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood came out July 15, 2011, with voices by Jim Cummings, Travis Oates, Tom Kenny, Craig Ferguson, Bud Luckey, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Aim high! ‘Brave’ came out June 22, 2012, featuring the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Robbie Coltrane, Kevin McKidd, and Craig Ferguson.

‘Brave’ is set in the Scottish Highlands and follows Princess Merida of DunBroch after she is tasked to save her kingdom when her mother becomes the victim of a terrifying spell.

Button smashing! ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ hit theaters on Nov. 2, 2012.

The movie follows the tale of a video game baddie who rebels and tries to become a hero. It was voiced by John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch and was nominated for both the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Monsters University (2013)

Boo! ‘Monsters University’, a prequel to 2001’s ‘Monster’s Inc.’, was released Jun. 23 2013.

The Pixar collab heard John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, Bob Peterson, and John Ratzenberger reprise their roles. New additions included Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Peter Sohn, Joel Murray, Sean Hayes, Dave Foley, Charlie Day, Nathan Fillion.

The movie showed monsters James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski during their college days, going from rivals to friends as they trained to scare generations of kids.

Brr! ‘Frozen took the world by storm when it came out on Nov. 27, 2013, featuring the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, and Santino Fontana. The music was irresistible as well, showcasing an orchestral score from Christophe Beck and songs from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

The movie tells the tale of princess Anna of Arendelle as she sets off to save her sister Elsa after her icy powers get the best of her and trap their kingdom in eternal winter. ‘Frozen’ was a smash success, earning $1.280 billion in box offices worldwide.

‘Big Hero 6’ came out Nov. 7, 2014.

It is the charming story of a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada, who teams up with his late brother Tadashi’s healthcare provider robot to thwart the masked villain responsible for his brother’s death. ‘Big Hero 6’ is voiced by Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, Daniel Henney, T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr., Genesis Rodriguez, James Cromwell, Maya Rudolph, and Alan Tudyk.

‘Inside Out’ went deep within when it came out on May 18, 2015.

The movie unpacked the emotions of a young girl named Riley as she adjusts after a move from Minnesota to San Francisco. Her feelings came to life via the voices of Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Bill Hader as Fear, Louis Black as Anger, and Mindy Kaling as Disgust.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ was released on Nov. 25, 2015. The movie is set in an alternate universe where dinosaurs never became extinct and a shy, young Apatosaurus named Arlo that bonds with a human.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ featured the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Steve Zahn, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, A. J. Buckley, Jeffrey Wright, and Frances McDormand.

Animal instincts! ‘Zootopia’ came out Feb. 13, 2016, introducing a wild world full of animals of all sorts living in a bustling metropolis together.

The movie followed bunny Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and her unlikely partnership with con-artist fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) as they uncover a criminal conspiracy. Additional voices include Idris Elba, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, J. K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk, and Shakira.

Making a splash! ‘Finding Dory’ brought back all our favorites from 2003’s ‘Finding Nemo’ when it was released on Jun. 16, 2016.

Ellen DeGeneres returned as the amnesiac fish Dory looking to reunite with her parents. ‘Finding Dory’ was also voiced by Albert Brooks, Hayden Rolence, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton, and Eugene Levy.

On a mission! ‘Moana’ took the high seas when it came out on Nov. 23, 2016.

Inspired by Polynesian folklore, the movie follows the strong-willed Moana after she is chosen by the ocean to reunite a magical relic with the goddess Te Fiti. It starred Auliʻi Cravalho as Moana with the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk.

‘Coco’ came out on Oct. 20, 2017.

Inspired by the folklore behind Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos holiday, it follows young Miguel after he is accidentally sent to the Land Of The Dead. It stars Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, Alanna Ubach, Renée Victor, Ana Ofelia Murguía and Edward James Olmos.

Super stuff! ‘Incredibles 2’ came out on Jun. 15, 2018, bringing back the Incredible family as they try to balance family life with their quest to restore the public trust in superheroes.

It features the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson, Huckleberry Milner, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener and Jonathan Banks.

John C. Reilly returns as Ralph while Sarah Silverman’s Vanellope von Schweetz, Gal Gadot, Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Alfred Molina, and Ed O’Neill round out the cast.

Not our first rodeo! ‘Toy Story’ 4 wrangled fans for another adventure of Buzz and Woody.

Released on Jun. 21, 2019, the film follows the toys as they get used to their new owner Bonnie. The adventure continues when they are introduced to the new toy named Forky, who Bonnie created using recycled materials from her school.

Time to chill! ‘Frozen II’ brought back Anna, Elsa, and all their friends from Arendale when it came out Nov. 22, 2019.

It follows the sisters as they travel to an enchanted forest to unravel the origin of Elsa’s magical power. Eclipsing its predecessor, ‘Frozen II’ made $1.450 billion at the box office.

Brotherly love! ‘Onward’ hit theaters Mar. 6, 2020, welcoming audiences into a fantasy world where two elf brothers (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) set out on a quest to find a relic that will bring their father back from the dead.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer also provided voices. Unfortunately, the charming tale was somewhat of a box-office disappointment, released right as the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic began to take over. It only made $141.9 million off of a reported $175 million to $200 million budget.

Music to my ears! ‘Soul’ came out on Christmas Day, 2020, instantly becoming a Disney classic.

Led by Jamie Foxx and featuring tunes by jazz musician John Baptiste, the movie follows music teacher Joe Gardner as he tries to reunite his soul and body before his big break as a jazz musician. 

‘Soul’ also featured a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails along with the voices of Tina Fey, Graham Norton, Rachel House, Alice Braga, Richard Ayoade, Phylicia Rashad, Donnell Rawlings, Questlove, and Angela Bassett.

The stuff of legends. ‘Raya And The Last Dragon’ came out Mar. 5, 2021 and was released on Disney+ and in theatres simultanously.

The movie, led by Kelly Marie Tran, tells the tale of warrior princess Raya as she seeks out the legendary “last dragon” in hopes of bringing back her father and banishing evil from her home. In addition to Kelly Marie, ‘Raya’ starred Awkwafina, Izaac Wang, Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, Benedict Wong, and Sandra Oh.

Endless summer! ‘Luca’ came out June 18, 2021, following the story of a young sea monster who lives in the Italian Riviera and is able to transform into a human while on land. He enjoys a life-changing summer exploring with his best friend Alberto Scorfano.

The title character Luca is voiced by Jacob Tremblay, who teams up with Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Saverio Raimondo, Marco Barricelli, Maya Rudolph, Jim Gaffigan, Peter Sohn, Lorenzo Crisci, Marina Massironi, and Sandy Martin in the flick.

Enchanting! ‘Encanto’ came out on Nov. 24, 2021 in theaters and was released on to stream on Disney+ on Dec. 24, 2021.

The movie is set in the fictional Colombia town of Encanto, where the magical Madrigal family lives. When danger finds the family, Mirabel, the only family member without powers, must rescue the brood.

‘Encanto’ has songs by ‘Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda and stars Stephanie Beatriz, María Cecilia Botero, John Leguizamo, Mauro Castillo, Jessica Darrow, Angie Cepeda, Carolina Gaitán, Diane Guerrero, and Wilmer Valderrama.
