David Cook — David Cook was the winner of season 7 of ‘American Idol.’ He earned his title in May 2008, beating out runner-up David Archuleta to be named the winner of the show. David was in a band before coming on ‘American Idol,’ and he embarked on his solo career after winning the competition. Although he has not had major mainstream success, David released three albums since his time on the show. His most recent record was released in 2015.

That same year, he married his wife, Racheal Stump, who he had secretly been dating for years before they tied the knot. News of the pair’s marriage was not made public until David was photographed wearing a wedding ring at a concert in Oct. 2015.
