David Arquette is famous for playing Sheriff Dewey Riley in the 1996 slasher film Scream, and in the three sequels as well. In 2020, it was announced that David would be returning for Scream 5!
David’s resume extends way beyond his legacy on Scream, though. He played the older brother of Drew Barrymore’s character in Never Been Kissed, and held roles in even more big movie like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Wild Bill, and Eight Legged Freaks. David’s not just an actor, though; he is a true multi-hyphenate, and served as an executive producer on the television shows Daisy Does America, Dirt, Cougar Town and Celebrity Name Game. He even ventured into professional wrestling, and interestingly won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in 2000.
David was married to his Scream co-star and on-screen love interest Courteney Cox between 1999-2010 (they finalized the divorce in 2013). The co-stars welcomed a daughter, Coco, in 2004. After the split, David went on to tie the knot with Christina McLarty in 2015, and they welcomed two sons.
