Danny rose to prominence in the ’90s after playing the role of Steven Hyde on ‘That ’70s Show’ for eight seasos alongside Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Prior to landing on the popular sitcom, he appeared in Beethoven’s 2nd, in addition to starring as Justin in ‘Cybill.’

Following the end of ‘That ’70’s Show,’ Danny appeared in the 2008 film ‘Yes Man’ alongside now-wife Bijou Phillps. Danny and Ashton resumed their working relationship on Netflix’s ‘The Ranch’, which premiered in 2016. Danny was fired from the series in 2017 following allegations of rape, and was later charged on three counts in June 2020. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison in September 2023.

Danny married fellow Scientologist Bijou Philipps in 2011 after 6 years of dating. The couple welcomed their daughter Fianna Frances Masterson on February 14, 2014. Bijou divorced Danny after he went to prison.
