Danielle Brooks — Photos — Danielle Brooks is a talented actress best known for her role as Taystee on the hit Netflix series ‘Orange Is The New Black.’ She starred in the series from 2013 to 2019. Taystee was a beloved fan-favorite. In addition to ‘Orange Is The New Black,’ Danielle also starred in the 2015 Broadway production of ‘The Color Purple’ with Cynthia Erivo and Jennifer Hudson. She played Sofia and earned a Tony Award nomination. In 2020, she appeared in an episode of ‘Social Distance’ and in the comedy special ‘Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine.’ She currently is the voice of Pearle in the TV series ‘Close Enough’ and is filming the upcoming HBO Max series ‘Peacemaker’ with John Cena.
