‘Dance Moms’ turns 10! Celebrate a whole decade since the Lifetime reality series premiered with photos of the child dancers then and now.

Dance Moms Cast Then & Now — Maddie Ziegler — ‘Dance Moms’ turns 10! The hit reality series premiered on Lifetime on July 13, 2011 and followed Abby Lee Miller training young girls in dance and show business at the Abby Lee Dance Company studios. The relationship between Abby Lee and the children’s mothers, which was almost always hostile, offered plenty of drama for eager viewers. Abby briefly left the show in season 7 after a brief stint in prison for felony bankruptcy fraud. She returned for season 8 — and brought the drama back with her.

Maddie Ziegler, left, was one of the star kids on the show. As a lyrical & tap dancer, Maddie was typically one of Abby’s favorite students. She went on to have a big career after the show: she was a judge on one season of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and went on tours with Sia. Most recently, she appeared in Sia’s 2012 film ‘Music’.

JoJo Siwa

JoJo Siwa — JoJo Siwa rose to fame as a jazz/hip-hop dancer and singer on ‘Dance Moms.’ After the show, she enjoyed a successful career in Nickelodeon and has released several songs and music videos. She’s also become an inspiration for many other kids after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in January 2021. She often posts on social media with her girlfriend, Kylie Prew.

Chloe Lukasiak

Chloe Lukasiak — Chloe Lukasiak is a ‘Dance Moms’ OG. She starred on the show from season 1 to 4 before pursuing a career on YouTube. She also landed roles in several minor films and published her first book, “Girl On Pointe”, in 2018. She also shares her poetry and written work to her more than 6 million Instagram followers.

Mackenzie Ziegler

Mackenzie Ziegler — Mackenzie Ziegler appeared on ‘Dance Moms’ at a young age alongside her big sister, Maddie Ziegler. Mackenzie left the show with her family after six seasons to pursue other projects, including music. In 2018, she reached the finals of ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’ with partner Gleb Savchenko. She also competed on ‘The Masked Dancer’ in in early 2021 and placed third.

Nia Sioux

Nia Sioux — Nia Sioux was a standout star of ‘Dance Moms’. The Pittsburgh native eventually took her talents from Abby Lee’s studio to “The Irreplacables,” a new dance team helmed by Cheryl Burke. Since her reality TV days, Nia has appeared in numerous music videos and has ammassed a big following on her social media and YouTube accounts.

Elliana Walmsley

Elliana Walmsley — Elliana Walmsley joined ‘Dance Moms’ as a star student in season 6. She left the show after the following season but continued to dance. She was one of the professional partners for ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors in 2018 and snagged the starring role in the 2019/2020 ‘Radio City Christmas Spectactular’ show alongside The Rockettes.

Kendall Vertes

Kendall Vertes — Talented dancer Kendall Vertes joined Abby Lee’s studio in season 2 She was briefly switched to Candy Apples Dance Center, but returned to ALDC until her exit from the show after season 7. Since then, Kendall has continued to pursue acting, singing and dancing. She also released a fashion line through Target in 2017.

Kalani Hilliker

Kalani Hilliker — Kalani Hilliker landed a role on ‘Dance Moms’ after she competed on ‘Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition’, like many of her costars. She was on the show until leaving to form ‘The Irreplacables.’ Kalani has since launched a sock line that is sold at Claire’s and a prom dress collection with PromGirl.

Asia Monet Ray

Asia Monet Ray — Asia Monet Ray was only 6 years old when she first appeared on ‘Dance Moms’. She’s enjoyed success since leaving the show, starting with her very own docu-series, ‘Raising Asia’. She also earned some acting credits in the FX drama ‘American Crime Story: The Assasination of Gianni Versace’ and on two episodes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ both in 2016.
